“Mrs. Taylor is a dynamic and dedicated teacher at SVHS. Our daughter had Mrs. Taylor in the fall for World Studies 1 as a freshman. She helped our daughter's transition from SVMS to SVHS as she took a genuine interest in her learning and development. Her course encouraged our daughter to be more aware of current events which has continued after the class. Our daughter and her friends, as well as other students, often eat in Mrs. Taylor's classroom as she's created a truly welcoming environment. Mrs. Taylor also teaches Economics, Government and Social & Cultural Anthropology at SVHS so she works with students at all class levels. In addition to teaching full time, Mrs. Taylor leads international and domestic trips for SVHS students in order to provide hands on learning opportunities for students and help students develop a global perspective. She recruits and travels with the students, holds info sessions for parents/families, coordinates logistics with the travel company and communicates updates to the parents/families during the trip. Our daughter traveled with Mrs. Taylor and a group of students to Washington D.C. during spring break. When our daughter became ill, she was at CVS getting her cold medicine, bringing her meals and sharing updates with us. Mrs. Taylor goes above and beyond to care for SVHS students"
