Robert Atkinson began teaching in Scotts Valley in 2017 and has never felt more at home. Now in his 8th year of teaching and with over a decade working in education-related fields, Mr. Atkinson encourages his students to “Be Awesome” everyday by teaching respect, problem solving, critical thinking, and empathy in all areas of study. In his free time, Mr. Atkinson plays the bass guitar, loves to play beach volleyball and has recently picked up outrigger canoeing. He and his wife, Courtney, live in Santa Cruz and are expecting their first child in March of 2020.
